How to prevent clogged drains?

There are many things you can do to prevent a clogged drain. First, you can place a strainer over drains to trap food, hair, soap, etc. Don’t pour grease or oil down the kitchen sink. Instead, pour grease into a container and throw it in the trash. When using a garbage disposal, run plenty of water. You should also avoid putting certain foods down the garbage disposal including: banana peels, eggshells, coffee grounds, pasta, rice, fruits and vegetables.

How to fix a kitchen drain clog?

There are a few things you can try to clear a kitchen drain clog. You can pour boiling water down the sink to loosen grease. If you have a garbage disposal, run it with plenty of water to see if that clears the clog. You can also try plunging or cleaning the P-trap. If none of these clear the clog, give us a call!

Why does my sink smell?

There are a few possible reasons. First, check the P-trap. It’s supposed to create a seal by holding water, which prevents sewer gases from coming through. If it’s not working properly, it could be causing the smell. A blocked vent can also create a smell.
